Michael Riedl

Michael Riedl was born and raised in Minnesota, the land of 10,000 lakes. He’s been fishing for 20+ years, he’s always enjoyed catching whatever is biting that day. The last 10 years he focused on the great Largemouth and Smallmouth opportunities Minnesota has to offer. In 2015 Michael started guiding part time to share his passion with others. He’s built a ton of knowledge on Mille Lacs Lake and many lakes in the area. Since then he’s attained his Captains License and is qualified in Basic First Aid and CPR by the American Red Cross.

Michael is currently still serving in the Army National Guard since 2006. He’s no stranger to hard work, discipline, and attention to detail. Michael’s professionalism, great attitude, and work ethic will ensure you a great time on the water!

My first cast I caught a 3 pound bass. The 2nd cast my brother also caught a nice bass! We caught 20-30 nice fish within a 3 hour window. Including some Northern Pike and a Walleye. Mike even let us use all his own personal fishing gear and rigged up our bait. Hell he even drove and took off the fish! His boat was also top of the line. Most importantly he was easy going and a funny dude! I would definitely recommend and will be coming back to fish with him in the future. This was a once in a lifetime experience with my older brother that was visiting from Florida. It couldn’t of been a better experience for us.

Great guy and great guide! I went out to Mille lacs with him and brought my little cousin who was 12, and my cousin from California who had never been to Minnesota before. He wasted no time putting us on fish, smallmouth and walleye, even in the nasty fall weather on the big pond. He also took me and a buddy out as a boat captain for a high school bass tournament. He’s a super nice guy and a great fisherman! I would definitely recommend him if you want to learn a few things about fishing Mille lacs or the surrounding lakes!

MIKKEEE!! Mike is the absolute Mikest Mike, the fishing frenzy, the chad of charter. With the amount of fish we caught we could feed the entire high school in our town of Mora. Mike deserves all the freshest bait in the world. I once saw Mike punch the water and pull a fish out, that’s how cool this guy is- holy carp!
